Quebec Bulldogs

In 1910, the Quebec Bulldogs inherited their NHA franchise from the Cobalt Silver Kings. The same team had existed previously in the CHA and many other leagues.

In 1917, the Quebec Bulldogs suspended their franchise when the NHA became the NHL. In 1919, the team was revived as the Quebec Athletic Club. After one year, the franchise was sold to the Hamilton Tigers.

In 1925, the Hamilton franchise was revoked and the players were sold to the expansion New York Americans.

In 1942, the New York Americans franchise was retired.
